SPORTS FEE

$80 per player, competing team manager/organiser and competing official.
Non-playing officials, such as scorers, umpires and team managers who are not playing or competing, are not required to pay the Sports Fee. They only need to pay the Games Fee.

Note: Players not currently registered with Softball Australia may need to pay an additional RevSport fee. See competition information for details.

Minimum age for Competition is 35 years

Age is determined by at 24 June 2027

Women 35+ - Division 1, Division 2, Division 3.
Women 45+ - Division 4
Men 35+

Registration
Players and officials must complete both Great Barrier Reef Masters Games (GBRMG) registration and Softball Australia registration.

1. GBRMG Registration
All participants must register for the Games through the GBRMG registration system.

2. Softball Australia Registration
Participants must also hold a current Softball Australia registration through RevSport to compete in the softball competition.

If you are already registered for the 2026/27 Softball Australia season, you do not need to complete another Softball Australia registration.

If you are not currently registered, choose one of the following options:

Full-season registration – Join a club/team participating in a winter competition and register for the full season through that club/team. Fees vary and may cover you through to the end of the club/team season.
1-week Event registration – If you are participating in the GBRMG only, you can purchase a 1-week Softball Australia registration through RevSport.

Please note: The 1-week registration can only be used once per Softball Australia financial year, from 1 July to 30 June, and cannot be used for multiple separate events in the same financial year.

The competition draw will be finalised after team registrations close and published on the Games website.
Close of entry date will be strictly adhered to due to limitation of team numbers.
Metal cleats are not permitted.
Each team must provide an umpire.
Women’s 35+ teams will compete in Divisions 1, 2 and 3. All players must be aged 35 years or over by 24 June 2027.
Men’s 35+ teams will compete in one ungraded division. All players must be aged 35 years or over by 24 June 2027.
Women’s 45+ teams will compete in one division. All players must be aged 45 years or over by 24 June 2027.
Divisions may change depending on final participant numbers.
The competition will be conducted under the official Softball Australia rules and Softball FNQ ground rules.
The Team Manager is responsible for registering the team and entering each player's name and email address. Each player will then receive an email invitation to join the team, complete their registration, and pay their fees.
Team Managers can download the Player Registration Details Form to collect the information required from each player
If a player does not receive their invitation email, they should check their spam or junk folder
Players can also register individually and enter their team name during registration. Please ensure the team name is spelt correctly.
Players who do not have a team can register as an individual Softball competitor and enter "I need a team" when prompt to enter a team name. The Softball organiser will allocate players to a team where possible
Teams that need a pick-up umpire can contact Softball FNQ for assistance.
Team manager meetings will be held before the competition. Meeting format, date and time are to be confirmed.
A canteen, bar and coffee van will be available onsite.
The competition is presented by Softball FNQ and sanctioned by Softball Australia.
