Planning is well underway for the 2027 Great Barrier Reef Masters Games, set to be bigger and better than ever. The Games will once again bring a diverse range of sports to life across Cairns, welcoming masters athletes from across Australia and around the world to compete in one of the country’s premier masters sporting events.
Make sure you mark your calendars for 23 June – 27 June 2027 and start planning your next Games adventure in tropical Cairns!

Games registration fee in addition to sport fee:
Please note, that the Games registration fee will only be charged once to each competitor, no matter how many different sports you choose to compete in.
Each individual sport attracts its own sports fee, see below.
- Early bird - $71 per person (end 31 Dec 2024)
- Nominal registration - $89 per person (end 29 May 2025)
- All sports and the Opening Ceremony are free for spectators to attend. If spectators would like to attend any of the social events they must register as a "Supporter". Supporter passes can not be purchased at social events; they must be purchased in advance and collected from the Games Hub during opening hours.
- All social event attendees will need to show their GBRMG lanyard ID before entry; these can be purchased online via the athlete registration site.
