Cairns Regional Council delivers the Great Barrier Reef Masters Games (GBRMG). As our new registration system payment platform, Eventsair Pay, is now integrated with Cairns Regional Council, you will see this reflected in your bank statement rather than GBRMG registration.
This is a legitimate transaction and is not fraudulent. Therefore, there's no need to file a dispute with your bank.
We are working with the new payment platform to change this to save further confusion.
If you are unable to attend the Great Barrier Reef Masters Games a refund request can be applied for, and is subject to the games Terms and Conditions ( PDF, 0.13 MB ).
Note that we cannot guarantee refund applications. A $20 administration fee will be charged for any refunds requested after 1 April 2025.
The cut-off date for all refund requests is up until 30 April 2025; after this date, no refunds will be accepted.
One of the most beloved athletes in Australian sports, Ash Brazill, AFLW and Netball champion, is visiting us all the way from Perth WA to be part of the 2025 games!
Brazill could play any of the midcourt positions during her time at the highest level with the Diamonds. During Ash’s career she bounced back strong after suffering a serious knee injury sustained while playing in the AFLW in 2020 and finished her career with strong outings for the Diamonds at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and 2023 Netball World Cup.
Ash will be making several appearances at various events throughout the games weekend, including the opening ceremony and a special netball clinic run by Cairns Netball Association. Find out more about the clinics here.

For team sports, a Team Manager can be nominated. The Team Manager is responsible for entering each player's name and email address, which will force the system to send an email with a link to allow players to formally join the team and finish and pay for their registration.
Team Managers are to collect all your team players full names and emails ready prior to registering. You are unable to go back and add more or new players.
Make sure you select 'Team Manager' when registering. See the instructions on how to register as a Team Manager ( PDF, 0.55 MB ).
