Field- Hammer M&W, pole vault M &W, men's long jump, women's shot put

Saturday 27th May: 8 am - 5 pm

Track- 3000m, sprint hurdles (80-110m), 200m, 800m, 1500m walk
Field- High jump M&W, women's triple jump, men's shot put, women's discus, Javelin M&W

Sunday 28th May: 8 am - 3 pm

Track- 1500m, 100m , long hurdles (200-400m)
Field- Women's long jump, men's triple jump, men's discus, weight throw M&W

Minimum Age

Minimum age for competition is 30 years. Age is determined as at 26 May 2023(day of competition), and age groups will be combined but individuals will compete in their own age bracket.

30 - 34, 35 - 39, 40 - 44, 45 - 49, 50 - 54, 55 - 59, 60 - 64, 65 - 69, 70 - 74, 75 - 79, 80 - 84, 85 - 89, 90 - 94, 95 - 99, 100+

Fees

Sport fee: $30 Event fee: $10 per event, up to 7 events More than 8 events, no extra charge

Games Registration Fee in addition to sport fee:

  • Early Bird #1 - $69 per person (ends 31 Aug 2022)
  • Early Bird #2 - $71 per person (end 31 Dec 2022)
  • Nominal Registration - $89 per person (end 25 May 2023)

** Throws pentathlon will be held in conjunction with the throws events. The first three attempts in each event will contribute to pentathlon points.

Additional Information

Events will be combined where numbers permit, but athletes will still be categorised according to age.
Age at the event determines weight of implement, heights of hurdles and distances for some track events. Athletes are encouraged to check the Australian Masters Athletics page for specific information if they are unfamiliar: https://www.australianmastersathletics.org.au/about/event-technical-specifications/
Entries will close Sunday 7th May 2023 and late entries/additions cannot be accommodated.
If you need to scratch from an event, please notify the convener at your earliest convenience.
**Pole vaulters must bring their own pole or organise hire of a pole. Please contact the convenor for more details.
Multi-event entrants must enter in the 5 events for their pentathlon PLUS the pentathlon event (for point scoring)
Athletes in sprint events: please record the best time in the previous 12 months in the space required to assist heat seeding if required.
Heats will be run for events shorter than 400 m, where there are more than 8 athletes entered in the event.
Athletes will be required to check in once only, prior to their first event. Any event scratchings must be advised prior to the event.
There will be no call room and athletes will be required to assemble at their event location 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the event.
Uniforms are not compulsory, but shoes must be worn.
Athletes do not need to be registered with a club in order to compete, but must indicate this on their entry.
The track and field pentathlons and throws pentathlon will be held in conjunction with the individual events over the course of the competition.
Please ensure you have entered each of the 5 events PLUS the pentathlon event. The first three attempts of field events in the individual competition will be used for calculating pentathlon points. N
umber of attempts for throw events, long jump and triple jump: 3 attempts, plus the top 8 will receive another 3 attempts (6 attempts in total).
Competition will be conducted under the World Masters Athletics (WMA) rules.
Medal ceremonies will not be held. Field athletes will collect their medals at the conclusion of their event, track athletes will collect their medals from the admin desk approximately 15 minutes after the conclusion of the event.
Final schedule will be released after entries close.
